1. E-learning, an implement for training or retraining
staff in companies
A firm, whether it is private, public or parapublic,
needs to train more often its staff for it to be more productive and competent
in the enterprises. In Cameroon, about 10 out of 20 companies organize training
workshops per year for employees, according to the needs and objectives of the
company.
For example, in 2013, UNESCO-Cameroon organized a 5-days face-to-face training workshop
in Douala. The seminar was organized at the attention of inventory team leaders
who were supposed to start the national inventory.
The workshop would have drain more expert if it was
organized as an online workshop. So, with online
learning, UNESCO would have
spent less money and the workshop would have lasted 02 days and produce more
interactions and collaborations between trainers and trainee.

generally, they organize seminars, workshops once a year at the attention of
those users to strengthen their competences.
Thank to Online training, it may be more easier for
authorities to organize such workshops regularly, at least once a month and

Most societies in Cameroon recruit at least twice a year. It may be through competition or file study. For example, Cameroonian public services recruit about 10.000 young per year, according to human resources needs.
In the private sector, recruitment may happen more or
less frequently according to new projects, staff dismissal or cases of death. Organizations
such as PLAN Cameroon, WHO, UNDP or IYF regularly call upon youths for new position in their
enterprises on new projects. As such, when a newcomer arrives, he should be
taught on the principles, policies of the organization or the aim and work
field method of the project or the position for which he applied. Generally, it
is done by a supervisor or the human resources technician.
In such cases, E-learning
is an excellent and quick effective tool for managers, supervisor-s or human
resources technician to manage and welcome newcomers in not more than 1 week.
